This is what I've been working on when not making masks.

This is basically how I've been teaching myself Illustrator. I watched a bunch of classes on skillshare to get an idea of how it worked and then started working. Whenever I wanted to do something, but couldn't remember how, or ran into a problem I couldn't solve, I'd go back to whichever class I thought covered the thing I was having an issue with.

This is probably less efficient than just doing whatever assignment came with the class but...eh. That's not how my brain works. It's frustrating to learn by fucking up, rather than following directions, but that seems to be the best way that I learn. Yes, that's definitely a metaphor for my life.

I'm still not totally sure it right, but it's close to what I want. And it's a good thing that it isn't perfect, because I'm pretty sure that I built it in a way that's not replicable so I have to rebuild it all again before I can put it on redbubble.

But, hey! I made a pattern! and I think it's pretty good!

I'm also making cloth masks. They aren't a substitute for the medical equipment that is so badly needed right now, but they can be used to help N95 masks last longer. And they're a good alternative for less at-risk people, so that N95s are freed up for medical workers. The organization I'm working with has already made over 2500 masks but they still need more!

They need people who can sew, but also people who can help coordinate donations, people who can help with pick ups and deliveries, and even just people to spread the word.

Everything is crazy right now, but it's good to be able to help a little.
