Fire Island

Most of july has been me traveling around to do my vagina job. I've been to such exotic places as Philadelphia! Connecticut! New Jersey! I've been working on my fantasy novel but mostly in a boring outline-writing type of way. So I haven't had much to post about.

BUT I also got hired to perform on Fire Island with Maggie, which is a pretty sweet gig. Fire Island is magical and Maggie and I got to have a really romantic vacation for a day. It was supposed to be three days but we found a bedbug in the place we were staying so things went south pretty fast.

But the show was fun and I got to swim in the ocean and take some nice pictures so I'm gonna choose to focus on that. Also Maggie and I decided that off-season fire island would be a perfect setting for a horror movie so now I've got THAT in the back of my mind.

I kept this photo because it looks like Maggie is a ghost and/or in a found footage horror movie.

But here are my actually good photos!

These photos happened because I was keeping my camera down the front of my sweaty bathing suit, but I still thought they looked kinda cool.

The Sunken Forest was not as cool as I remembered. I later realized that was because I'd been there as the sun was setting and saw most of it in darkness and just sort of imagined the bits I couldn't see. Unsurprisingly, I imagined something cooler than reality. So I may use these photos as inspiration to draw what I *thought* it would be.
