I don't know if this is interesting at all but I've been taking classes on skillshare about how to do surface pattern design (repeating patterns for fabric, wallpaper, stationary, etc. It seems fun and a good way to develop passive income so I've been slowly building those skills.

One of those skills is building color pallets and a lot of the classes suggest making pallets from photos or art you like and stuff you see outside. Yesterday I was walking past this pigeon and absently thought about how much I liked it's colors. So then I was like "Hey, take a photo and you can have a color pallet!" So I chased this pigeon around till I got a photo I liked.

I started the morning by making this pallet and fancy gradient. I tried to make a marble pattern but nothing really came out well so I just went with this brushed metal sheen. I'm not sure what I'll do with it. Maybe a more abstract line of stuff to go on redbubble. I'm thinking of getting Illustrator so I can learn vector art and have better confidence in the quality of the stuff I put on redbubble.

I really liked waking up with doing something artistic but not super challenging. I feel like it helped me be more positive and productive.
