Hammer, Pliers, Costume Stuff

I took this while I was working on making a bra to do grinder on. I thought it was kind of funny that I was embellishing a bra with the help of a hammer, a nail, pliers, you know, girly stuff.

This performance kind of snuck up on me, so I ended up doing a lot of things last minute, like trying to make a grinder bra out of altoid tins. I also didn’t have time to rehearse so I had to wait till show time to see if it worked or not. It kind of worked. I got a few sparks. But I can’t say it was a good idea because all of those sparks went into my face. Luckily I was unharmed but, you know, *concerned* for part of my act. So I nixed the tins before doing a repeat of my act.

So now you know, there’s a reason there aren’t any grinder bras. I guess you also know that I pretty much only learn things the hard way.
