Back from the dead 😳 (kind of)
Sorry for the dry spell here lately.. I'm experiencing a lack of creative "will". Hopefully I'm getting back on my feet now. I'll take a look at all your DMs soon too!
I was recording a new short arrangement (jazz standard) and thought about making this video. Here I talk about four useful approaches to making solo guitar jazz standard arrangements (at least the way I like to make them).
1. Substituting chords with arpeggios.
2. Chromatic approaches.
3. Adding chords under melody notes.
4. Rhythmic displacement.
