Sorry that this post is long and a bit all over the place, I have a TLDR/summary at the end.
To begin with I woke up this morning to find my MEGA account was unfortunately terminated for violating TOS. At first I wasn't sure as to why because the email I got was very vague, but then I checked the mega link I have on twitter so that people can see the 1 minute vids that I post and it said that it was reported because of the nature of content that it contained. And as such they took down my account, including the private folders that I shared with you guys. Now I realize it was naïve to have shared the previews publicly, a lesson harshly learned 😭.
I plan to move onto another file hosting site like dropbox, and I do have most files backed up on an external harddrive somewhere. I think the only thing I did not backup were misc files. My upload speed is rather slow but this means I'll eventually have everything online and running again.
However, it is currently nearing the end of fall semester at my college, and I have a few majorly important final exams and projects coming up before the semester ends. So I decided to use this opportunity to take a hiatus to focus on that and also some other IRL stuff. I can't make promises as to when I'll be back, but if all goes well I hope by next month to start off the new year ;).
Of course in the meantime billing is paused, you will NOT be charged for the time that I am inactive. I will update my patron pages to let any new patrons know. For those that were already charged for this month and were not able to take full advantage of the MEGA or other benefits I can give you two options. You can DM me and I will let patreon know to refund your month, OR you will simply not be charged for the first month that I get back to creating content, and so your pledge will still go toward supporting active creation of content. 👍
I'll still be semi active on socials, and if you DM here on patreon I will still see it. I just will not be working on new stuff or posts.
TLDR:
Mega is gone, moving onto another file site like dropbox. I have all videos archived, nothing important is lost. I am using this as an opportunity to take a hiatus to focus on school and IRL stuff. You will not be charged in the meantime, people who pledge this month can DM for a refund or can wait when I'm back and they will not be charged for the first month.
