I don’t remember the last time I had a bed like this. Actually, I do. It was ONE MONTH ago. Jack in Bangkok. Damn, I feel good right now. ALSO, WIFI! And a hot shower! So blessed wow. I was so excoted to leave PNG I couldnt even sleep on my flight. I watched a random love drama movie and just - did nothing -. I dont even usually watch movies on planes so this was unusual ahaha. Tonight, I‘m sleeping in an airport accommodation. It included food and I had some TOFU 🥹🥹🥹I missed it so much guys. As brekki, I had the juiciest 4 mangoes ever!! And this local from Port Moresby showed us around (also IG connection). Apparently, the settlement we couchsurfed in the night before is the most dangerous area haha. Oopsi. Tomorrow, I will have a full day exploring Singapore with 3 girls who dmed me on Instagram yay🥹 the reason I love and do social media <3 I think I‘ll have a yummy vegan brunch, walk a lot, enjoy the sun and just try to relaxxxx.. I sometimes notice myself hyperfocusing on so much it puts me onto a constant slight stress level which is not good!
I wish I could tell you anything more exciting but besides existing, editing videos and trying to find food I wakt my past 2 days haven’t really been a lot. Oh, and reading!! I am still finishing a good read atm.. david brooks - how to know people. I love books that teach me something, make me think, psychology,.. i can recommend! What are your favorite reads at the moment? My kindle has truly been a lifesaver on my trips. I own it since summer and LOVE it. Before that, I never was able to carry books anyways which meant.. I never really got to read anymore :/ and that sucks!! The book makes me think a lot and reflect as well. It points out different aspects of cultures and society and I am once again realizing how much we do / think / believe based on where we grew up, and what our ancestors have passed down for generations. Do you know a lot about your ancestors? I never took a DNA test bc I didnt wanna sell it to thee companies but I‘d also be interested in finding out more.. maybe I gotta start digging dome day.
My head is also caught up with the adventures I wanka do next year. I got a lot of opportunities and some free time and can’t decide because EVERYTHING is so cool! van life in NZ with my bestie?! Carneval in Rio?! Or some sort of extreme travel..? Next year will be focused on learning (ofc combined with travel)!! Free diving, scuba diving, climbing,.. I wanna be become a skilled woman hehe. Any cool ideas? Let me know!
One thing I do urge everyone to try this winter is a sauna + cold plunge combo. No seriously, thats some good self care / love right there !! Your body will love you for it and so will your mind. It is super relaxing, because basically all you can think of is the extreme heat or cold haha. I like to do a catchup sesh + that with one of my good friends from Vienna. It is always a good time ;) I will try to do it (whenever I have access which will be almost) daily now that I‘ll be in Austria soon. Lets see. Have you tried it before? How long do you usually stay in? I have resd that it‘s recommended to stay in as long, until you feel bad or start to feel high. And remember, breathing is everything!! You should do it especially Jan 1, its an epic way to start the year.
Me and Daniels goodbye today was uneventful yet wholesome :)) we talked about some future possible travel meet ups and cheerd on this successful trip. We made it, and all without any complications? Thats super impressive!! Definitely happy about that:) he feels super ready to go home for Christmas too. I guess the things we are looking forward to outweighted the goodbye, which is fair lol.
Alrighty guys I‘m about to pass out, I‘ll tell you what I got up to tomorrow in Singapore hehe
Much love
xx
