Ahh... the classic S10 gas mask, hands down my favorite mask of ALL time... linking WetHot as they produce a hooded/collared version that can't be beat!

Where to begin.. this mask has everything I want in a gas mask! Large bug eyes allow for full field of vision, an interior mask provides unmatched air redirection (it uses the "defogger" approach), straps are comfy and snug, producing a tight seal, a 40mm connector works for all hose/filter setups, it even has a drinking straw for extended play sessions.  It's rigid, durable, and highly customizable.

Starting with features.. there are many.. the mask comes in 4 sizes, 1-4, with the smaller # being a larger mask.  I wear a size 2 or 3 - for longer sessions I prefer 2, and most men would prefer 1 or 2, but it depends on your head size.  I recommend size 2 by default for anyone.

Lenses can be pulled out completely, and aftermarket parts can be found on ebay, tinted lenses, mirrored lenses, even blackout lenses can be found.  Many have modded these with LEDs too.  If you're worried about pulling lenses out of the mask, fear not, you can always buy over-lens tints, which are disks that pop over each lens, easily added, easily removed.

Another killer feature about the lenses is you can wear glasses under the mask, you can also use an eyeglass holder (mask feature), which will hold a pair of glasses (without legs).  I haven't done this as I typically can just wear my glasses under the mask, but this only works with a hood (as the legs of the glasses will break the gas mask seal).

The speaker diaphragm produces that lovely muffled voice sound, crude and intimidating.. but you can retrofit your mask with a voice speaker - these are VERY rare, and quite expensive, but yet another neat option associated with the S10 mask - also if you can get me one of these, I'll love you forever!!

Slip on the mask, tighten it down, and enjoy the hiss of controlled airflow, connect to a drinking source for longer stays, this is the mask that I wore for 40+ hours in rubber, I paired it with a water source and a nutritional shake.  The water line will bleed air, but this can be fixed by either suspending your water source (recommended) or by using a peristaltic pump - which I've done before.
