You know Mimi from another her shoot together with Becky. However, as mentioned I have known Mimi for a much longer time. She also contacted me on Instagram to ask about the possibility of a photoshoot and at first she also thought I was female. However, after informing her that I'm male and talking about art, she still wanted to shoot with me.
Her project was really difficult. She loves rock climbing and hiking in the mountains. So she wanted to go to a famous destination in Taiwan for the shoot called Longdong (Dragon Cave). Since there are normally a lot of people, we decided to go early on a Monday morning. It is a long drive from where we both were, but we arrived around 7:30am. At first we saw a few people and we had to walk further. However, as I wanted to start more people started arriving. It was our unlucky day. We then ventured further going to areas that were very difficult to reach and we picked-up quite a few scratches on the way. I stopped at the place where we had the shoot since it looked more private and there was only a fisherman I could see quite far away. She knew the area and wanted to go further. However, as she showed me the way I got really scared since I hate heights and she wanted me to walk on a very narrow rock ledge. She is a pro and I would definitely had injured myself ;).
I convinced her to stay where we were and the rest is history. It was really hot and we were only shooting for 90 minutes. However, I did think the photos were a success. She is quiet conservative and I suggested mostly pure art poses. However, we could not do many of the poses we planned due to the terrain , but she did a fantastic job and were great at improvising.
