Sometimes you still need to take those mental health walks even when it's freezing outside.

Not me inserting some of my feelings about the cold weather in this audio lol. Hopefully if you come from a colder place or a place that has varying seasons you empathize, and if you don't and wish you did live in a place with an actually cold winter that you enjoy the audio! I think it was fun to write this as a more....realistic conversation, if that makes sense? A little less "story and purpose" driven and more kind of rambling a little bit, which I know I do when I take walks with friends and loved ones lol. Regardless, I hope you enjoy!

Cassidy: I may be a hothouse orchid but at least I ain't cruel and makin' fun of the man who's freezin' his family jewels off just cause someone had the wild notion that takin' a walk in the freezin' snow was a good idea.....

-pause-

Yeah well, I ain't bred for this climate, you'll have to forgive me.....

-pause-

Never will understand people who prefer this type of weather......we've only been out here for half an hour and my fingertips and toes are already screamin' at me.

-shivers and blows on his hands-

-pause-

-chuckles-

Ah-haa.....shoe's on the other foot now, ain't it?

-pause-

Don't forget last summer..... you were convinced you were dyin' cause I took you to my hometown in the summertime......

-long pause-

Now see, that's what I don't get......folks who enjoy the winter always tell me, "You can always put on more layers" or "it's easier to warm up in winter than it is to cool down in the summer" and I vehemently disagree....I ain't never had an easy time gettin' warm after bein' cold.....

-pause-

I'd rather sweat than shiver, thank you very much.....

-pause-

-grumbles- At least in the summer it's easier and safer to travel.

-long pause-

-chuckles-

Listen to us....bickerin' out here in the snow like a couple of goddamn weirdos....

-pause-

Naw.....let's keep movin'......I reckon if I stop movin my toes might actually fall off....

-hisses-

And the wind......wind shouldn't hurt goddamnit!

Alright, that's the last I'll say of it.......For now....

-soft walking through snow-

Despite the fact that it's colder than a witch's tit out here.....the darkest part of the year is over now.....and from here on out.....things are only gonna get brighter....

It's something about the winter that I actually look forward to.....the gradual change......the days getting longer...the weather getting warmer.....

Spring will come.....and with it new life.....new beginnings.....

I know that the winter is hard on a lot of people....especially those who live alone or live in places with especially long and harsh winters......

-pause-

Hey, vitamin D deficiency no joke! They don't call it seasonal depression for nothin'......

-long pause-

There is somethin' nice about a place like this....where the seasons actually noticeably change......

The ebb and flow kind of reflects the ebb and flow of life.....at least....a little bit.....

The ups....the downs.....the fact that our lives won't always be great...but they also won't always be awful......

We reflect nature....and vice versa.....

-pause-

Where I'm from don't count, it's almost always hot there.....

But I guess.....it's got it's own ebb and flow, you know?

People adapt to the place they live.....just like they adapt to the good and the bad things that life might throw at 'em.....

-pause-

I think I'm just....glad that you and I are both here.....I suppose.....

-long pause-

There is a certain peacefulness about the cold.....it's a different kind of peacefulness than that of the summer.....but that don't mean that it's bad.....

Different ain't bad.....

Just gotta.....adapt....I suppose....
