Hey everyone!
Thank you for participating in the feedback poll. I post these types of polls every now and then to extract the opinions of many who prefer providing anonymous feedback. The top three concerns or suggestions between both platforms are:
1.) More monster variants. (171 votes)
2.) Liquid implementation. (120 votes)
3.) Maintain a monthly scene schedule. (98 votes)
I also appreciate the verbal feedback from supporters who saw the options of Weekly and Monthly, and were worried those were absolute choices. The choices were technically unrelated, and not "either/or". Some of you prefer me to take my time making well-polished and feature-rich scenes, even if they take longer than a month. I really do appreciate the patience and shared points of view, considering how long Black Widow's scene took to make, and how long Gwen's sequel is taking.
However the tier benefit of Monthly content is important to me, and in the future I will endeavor to compromise on content when making the script. I know I said that before. I suppose since Gwen's sequel is... well... a sequel, I have a desire for it to be better than the first. And unfortunately the size and resources of it are starting to cause Blender to crash repeatedly. So being careful with the size of the content is in my best interest, at the very least for the sake of my sanity...
The next long scene will feature Ada Wong and Jill Valentine. The script for this scene is already being worked while I wait for my voice actresses to deliver their VO for Gwen's scene. To give a glimpse of how I'll view the Resident Evil project, I plan to have Ada and Jill in separate rooms communicating with each other while enjoying the attention of oviposition monsters (primarily lovehuggers).
To address the other two leading choices of the feedback poll, monster variants and liquids will be a priority in the scene's production. In fact, I've already started working on a couple of methods that output liquid with inspiration from Ogirls monster scenes. I'm not saying I want facehuggers to pour love fluid out of their ovipositors like a hose... but perhaps it'd be an interesting thing for my "Hugger Egg Tentacle" to do during its oviposition. And it'd also be ideal to see fluid come out when a female character eventually lays the eggs that were implanted into her.
That's all I got for this week. I'll update you guys soon regarding the likelihood of Gwen's sequel coming out next week. It depends on the VO deadline being honored, and how long I'll allow myself to work on the final portions of physics and lighting.
