IU - “WINNER” ALBUM LISTENING PARTY

Hiya!

Ok so I know I've mentioned this before but I LOVE IU. She's so wonderful. And this new album - I'm just really vibing with. 

It's interesting because I don't necessarily gravitate towards female voices but I tend to really like the k-pop girlies. I'm a huge fan of NEWJEANS and LE SSERAFIM. I those are my favs. And of course I like BLACKPINK and Twice, moreso their music even though I don't really know the girls that well. 

But IU. I just love her music. And her voice. And her style. And her acting. She's phenomenal. She's done collabs with G Dragon, EPIK HIGH, Suga of BTS, ZICO, Jay Park, and more. And she has time to do an online show, Palette (which I have yet to watch!). 

I know she's been in the biz for like 16 years but it's kind of cool to see how she grew up from being South Korea's Little Sister to now this 30-year old absolute gem. 

I also love how down to earth she is. And I feel like she's lived life a bit. You know. You can tell there's maturity there with her music and performances. Like the depth and heartache that's in her song "Eight" featuring Suga of BTS, that's about loss. Or how much thought she put into Shh.., reflecting on the women in her life.

Anyways, enough about that. I'll just gushing about IU and how much I love her but also am EXTREMELY BUMMED that I did not score tickets to her concert in LA. Those tickets sold out within 11 minutes and I felt like it was impossible to begin with. So now we're just going to have to sell a lot of mugs and sweatshirts to pay for resale tickets or something. Which is fine. We paid an arm and a leg to buy Agust D tickets. We'll do the same here. Which is funny because we sang in for IU then and maybe we can rap for Suga for her later. Haha.
