I think I show you far too rarely my "side projects". Therefore I would like to show you a small project that was a lot of fun for me. At the end of last year I was invited to accompany a project of a local "student company". The students were to design and distribute a children's book, and I was to do the illustrations. Since it is a high school with a focus on agricultural economics or ecotrophology, they chose an issue about species-appropriate animal husbandry in agriculture. It was supposed to be appropriate and entertaining for small children, of course, so they tell the story of a happy chicken. Anyway, since it was distributed by the students themselves, only a few hundred editions of the book were printed (and only in German, sorry guys). Some of the Books and all the proceeds were donated to preschools and children's hospitals. I think that's quite a beautiful thing.
Hope those kids got good grades for this project, they definitely deserved them.
