This has been long time coming. I was thinking of updating more frequently but I really didn't want to show only few finished backgrounds for all this amount of time. I kinda wished I could have done more of them so there would be more to show.

But seeing how I reworked the UI and have gotten most of the text in the demo figured out, I should probably just throw it out there ^^ I will try and work on the backgrounds more. I think next update will focus on the art side of this game, unless the soundtrack magically spawns. That being said, next update hopefully will have some sound-effects already! 

I was thinking of establish a Itch.io page for this and giving straight access to people who want it there, but I will have to look into it. For now though: HERE IS THE LINK 

Feedback is always welcomed, even if the game is still super early in development.

What's new?

Added the most current versions of Sprites + technically new ones.
- Sean has some fancy clothing options now. Aka he can wear a appron. Michael has same deal, he can remove his dress-shirt and glasses.
- Reworked all CG scenes to work with my own code and all sprites to use "Layered Image".
- Reworked UI and added Splash screen. Splash screen is temporary and will have more important info in future or a game logo. UI reworked mainly in the navigation menu/pause menu, but also in the title screen. Title screen is probably obvious and you can't miss it, mostly for fun but I do like how it looks. Navigation/Pause menu has been completely reworked to fit the theme and at this point it looks final. I might do some touch ups still.
- Added "Content warning" page into the "About" screen. It should display right. NOTE if you play this version and your game crashes or you find something that does seems not to work properly, please contact me!
- Added (hopefully) finished versions of the few backgrounds.
- Minor change into a player-name length. Because the names started to fuck up the "History" screen.
- Grammar + editing done. Basically to the whole demo. Thanks for Rain, who volunteered to go through all of the writing in there. It was a lot of text and lot of horribly written sentences, but right now I think the text is improved a lot. Of course I can always improve it still, but that will be on the backlog for a moment.

What's next?
- Take all the needed assets for the demo and finish them. Maybe more streams, definitely off stream work. Still lot more to do.
- Getting sketches done for background art for Michael's house75%, Rina's house75%, rest of Sean's shop85% and Player's house80% Number have changed because new day/night variants are needed.. and numbers also try reflect the planned (but not yet needed) sketches.
- Work on getting songs and soundtrack in general.
- Work on getting sound effects and add them.
- Honing the phone to look better.
- Adding "special sprites" for few scenes.
- Implementing a way to "shade" sprites depending on the scenery. Aka, make sprites match night-scenes and so forth.
- Coloring/Shading the sprites. All of them. To the point I can call them the "Final versions".
- Work on writing the main routes of every character. Rina 25%, Sean 85%, Michael 5% and Ian 5%.

I also wanted to add some Easter eggs already, kinda wanted to do a thing where one BG has additional details as you play the game, but I guess that will have to be left for the later. I can't go adding all the details when the demo is barely done :V

But there is one Easter-egg type of deal already in this whole thing ^^ Technically 2, I swear anyone won't see it because it requires too much debugging to actually notice and my "reset your saves/data" deal at the end of the game won't probably reset both of them so you could see it. But just to note, I had fun with small details.
