During competitions, I used to feel that skipping a day of exercise meant losing a day to others. Even just a bite of fruit or a few noodles would make me feel guilty.
Perhaps others admired my physique, but I could only see my imperfections.
Now, I listen to my body to determine my diet and training. If I exercise more, I get hungry and eat more; if I exercise less, I'm not as easily hungry, so I naturally eat less.
When I face immense pressure, I choose not to add more stress by going to the gym. I don't consider myself a failure for going to the gym less.
I invest my time in work and learning, and achieving a perfect body is not my top priority.
Currently, I work out a maximum of two times a week until I feel tired (approximately half an hour to one hour, depending on the circumstances).
In the past six months, I've adopted a carefree lifestyle, and surprisingly, I prefer my physique now. I no longer believe that improving my body shape is a difficult task.
Lastly, I want to say that sleep, healthy eating, a structured lifestyle, and proper posture determine your physique, not just the number of calories you consume or the frequency of exercise. Don't criticize yourself for lacking discipline based on your body shape. Each of us has our own life goals and ways of living. It's great when you strive to live your life well because, after all, modern life isn't easy for anyone.
Exercise is meant to enhance the quality of life, not to be used as a tool for self-punishment or demanding strict discipline.
