February 2024 Forecast (and Reflections)

We leap forward, fall back--wait, wrong mnemonic.

Wonderful friends! did you know that this month is a very special one? Not only do we have a Leap Day this year, but it's also the official 2-year anniversary since I launched this Patreon?! 😱 WHAT. WHEN EVEN DID THAT HAPPEN. (And if you're morbidly curious, here's the very first post I made back in 2022.)

Some of you have been here since the start, and some of you have joined me on this ongoing journey along this way. No matter what point you decided to come along for Greys' Wild & Wacky Art-venture™, please know that I appreciate the heck out of you, and I am truly and eternally grateful for every bit and byte of love and support you have given me. As I try to navigate through the wilderness of becoming a self-employed artist and small business owner (*blech* it still feels so weird to say that!), it's thanks to all you lovely folks that I am able to take each step, big or small, and find my way to an unknown destination.

Okay, now that I have that purple prose out of my system, let's talk about what's actually on the docket for this month! Because hoo boy are there some events that I can't wait to share with you all!

✨ February Special Events!

• Saturday Morning Sketchbook Sesh!
  🗓 3 February 3PM GMT (10AM EST / 7AM PST)
  We're going on a field trip over to the Art In Jest HQ Discord to doodle in our sketchbooks and chat! Join the Discord here! 
• Creative Caboose, 1-Year Anniversary Edition!
  🗓 9-10 February
  The Creative Caboose is a raid train featuring a variety of artists, makers, and crafters from Twitch! And with this being the 1-year anniversary, it's going to be a TWO day event full of all sorts of amazing streamers! Full schedule here!
• Snack & Sketch!
  🗓 22 February 8PM GMT (3PM EST / 12PM PST)
  Get your snacks (or lunch, or dinner, or brunch) and (digital) pencils and we'll do some colouring and sketching together!
• Shining Stars Super-Special Hangout!
  🗓 24 February 7PM GMT (2PM EST / 11AM PST)
  You didn't tie the poll for once, and I listened gratefully! Chilling and hanging on Discord on a Saturday?! Sketchbooks tours, sneaky cheeky peekies, and of course, rambling!

For a shorter month, there's a lot going on, innit?! I'm really looking forward to all the fun times to spend with y'all! But before we do, some more serious bidniz.

💡 Important Reminders! 

• With the new month beginning and as I get the goodies ready to send out, please remember to check and update your mailing addresses! 
• If you have any issues with seeing the Discord channel, you may need to relink your account on Patreon to get access. 
• Please check to make sure that your payments are not being declined! Patreon apparently changed their payments system a while back and some folks have been having issues. There is a very good support article on ways to change or fix your payment method if it is being declined. Those with a 'declined' status don't show up on the dashboard for me, and I would hate for you to miss out on your goodies!!

WHEW. Okay, I know that was a bit of a long one, so thank you for sticking around until the end! As a smol reward for making it to the end, here's a very very old watercolour that I did all the way back in 2012.
