Hey peeps,
Apologies for the radio silence for the past few weeks.
I dunno if I mentioned but I've transferred over to editing for Hiru's D&D channel (TheD&DLogs). So I've been working on a couple of those vids. And the two weeks have kinda flown by so I'm going on that holiday to France this Wednesday.
But I thought I'd just do a quick text post to let you know. And welcome the newcomers that have recently joined us.
As soon as I get back from France, I will get a script written for Part 1 of the new series. And then I will crack on and make the bloody thing. And, as usual, I will ensure you guys get Early Access to that asap. I always feel a bit guilty during these inbetween-series moments. Like I'm being lazy or something.
What else is there to talk about? Anybody been playing FF16? If so, what did you think? I really liked it tbh. I've been a fan of Final Fantasy for probably over 25 years. First one I ever played was FF7. Loved it. Then FF8 came out. Kinda hated it. Then FF9 came out. Probably one of my favourite games of all time...
And then 10 came out. And hot take... hate it. lol. I know 10 is a favourite for a lot of people but, to me, 10 was the beginning of an era of disappointing Final Fantasy games. Just like the Metallica Black album is their most mainstream release and yet, to me, its the beginning of Metallica just being a bit shit now. Final Fantasy has been disappointing me for 22 years lol. If you don't count 7 remake and 14.
And yet - Despite 16 being kinda drastically different... it just really worked for me. Every time the Eikon Battle music started to play I found myself getting all giddy like I was a small child again. And I've not played a video game that's made me feel like that for quite a long time.
But I do also accept that the game is mostly a movie. And that basically it could be described as being painfully slow for several hours at a time before letting you somewhat take part in a ridiculously epic rollercoaster ride... and then back to being painfully slow for another seven hours lol.
Anywho - Thanks, as always, for your support. Tis very much appreciated. Hopefully I can share the beginning of the next series with you soon. Cheers mates!
