Early Access - Chapter Fourteen (Part One)

Hey peeps,

Here's next weeks vid.  Had to split the chapter cos it's 32 pages long.  Butt... I think this might be one of the funniest vids I've done for a while.

It's also one of the riskier ones I've done.  It's not the best idea to dwell on a static image for like 10+ seconds if you're trying to make a visually interesting video.  But hopefully the gag lands so it doesn't matter too much.

In other news - I'm so bloody hyped for The Batman, it's unreal.  I was excited initially when it started moving forward with Matt Reeves attached to direct and stuff.  I've been waiting for a Batman movie that focuses on the Detective side of things because none of them ever have.  As if THATS the part that is too unrealistic.  

I wasn't too sure about the whole Robert Pattinson thing because I think the guy has a bit of a weird face.  And then I got a bit disheartened by the whole 'grounded in reality' thing cos... like... once again that means we're probably not gonna see Killer Croc or Clayface anytime soon.  I'm not asking for it to go back to like campy Adam West style.  But just embrace the fantastical elements for a change.  It's not a 'Fresh Take' if it's exactly the same as the Nolan trilogy. 

Butt yeah - it's being compared to movies like Zodiac and Se7en so I'm pretty sure i'm going to f***in' love this movie.  The only negative reviews I've seen have lines in them like "Holy Runtime".  You know; the kinda lines the reviewer has probably been sitting on for a while and therefore maybe went in to view the movie with a preconceived notion that they weren't going to like it.  

But it's still got a pretty high meta-score.  Plus... people like Reel Rejects and Jeremy Jahns have pretty much all said it's good.  I put a bit more stock in their opinions in comparison to like... some prick from a UK newspaper owned by Rupert Murdoch.  You know... the guy that's literally a real-life Batman villain.

So yeah - excited to see that as soon as I possibly can.  

I might not have a chance to record the podcast this week.  Not even sure what I'd talk about tbh.  Probably end up rambling about this whole Russia situation.  Or the fact that I'm getting a bit concerned that like... I started the Arthas book and we had a pandemic.  I start the book about the Warcraft equivalent of a World War and now this shit is happening.  Maybe I should stop for the good of humanity.  lol.  Or try and do a book that's about how everyone gets rich and lives happily ever after.
