Early Access - The Last Guardian SuperCut

Hey, how's it going?

Here's the SuperCut.  Just a heads up though - the SD version of the video has literally only just finished processing (it's taken all bloody day) so it may take a little while before the video is HD and stuff.  Or it might be HD already, I dunno.

I'll probably make this one public on Tuesday or something.  

But anyway... I'm trying a few things with the SuperCut this time... 

Firstly - You may notice the thumbnail.  Looks a bit different.  I asked Hiru if I could rip off his 'History of...' thumbnail style.  And he said "Go for it!".  So I did.

Secondly - Title of the vid is a bit different too.  In the past, I've always kinda felt like titles should just be straight-shooting and say what they mean!  lol.  But this time I've tried something else.  I outright refuse to use the word Machinima though - because I'm getting mighty tired of that comparison.  I'm not trying to make Machinimas.  lol.  I'm trying to do something unique.

But anyway... basically, I am a little intrigued as to why smaller WoW channels can sometimes get like... x10 or even x20 more average views than I do.  And it may well be... they're just better than me.  But it also may be down to other things.  So I had a little looksee at some other channels and a couple of things stuck out.   Most of them put the WoW logo in their thumbnails.  And most of them put the word 'WoW' in their titles.  

And tbh - even to me, that sounds really bloody trivial but maybe it'll make a difference.  Who knows.   It's worth a shot, anyway.  It does seem like you really need to hold YouTube's hand whilst it tries to establish the genre of your video and who to push it to.  

Also - I didn't bother putting an Outro in this.  So as a result there's no Patron credits at the end.  I apologise for that.  Rest assured, your names will continue to be featured at the end of the episodic vids.   I just don't see the point in an outro for a video that's already like 2 hours 45 minutes long.  

Funny story though - Although I asked Hiru about ripping off his thumbnail style... I didn't ask him if I could sample his voice saying the word 'But' repeatedly for the intro sound effect.  (Sounds like you're cheering for me, Hiru!  It's great.)  I might just get loads of samples of all different 'Wowtubers' cos they're all bound to have said the word 'But' in a video at some point.  And then we can find out which of them have sticks up their arses when they try to sue me.

Anywho - Thanks, as always, for your support.  'Tis much appreciated.  I will probably post the script for the Prologue(s) of Tides of Darkness next week.  Hiru was kind enough to send me a PDF in the interim cos it looks like my copy of the book won't be delivered until like... the 27th of November now.  Which is wonderful.  /s
