Early Access - Chapter Twelve

G'morning...
So here's the next one. Despite the earlier than usual timing of this post, I literally only just managed to get this one finished last night. So I'm pretty close to being stressed out again. lol. However, I'm gonna push on for as long as I can. I don't wanna end up being the guy that has to take a break every 4 weeks. I have four days to get the next one finished so... unless it's a ridiculously long chapter... that should be enough time. And then we'll just have to play it by ear.
In other news - Gonna have a bit of a rant. One of the reasons I try to avoid social media (and can seem a little bit anti-social) is it has a tendency to be quite negative. I would probably be considered "older" so... I've seen a number of platforms come and go. Everyone was on MySpace. And then Facebook. And then Twitter. And now Instagram. And I sound like a boomer. But all of them were / are basically just post after post of people talking about how the world and people are shit. And I dunno about you but... being bombarded with that tends to affect my mental health.
But anyway - I think we all knew there would be some twats that would bitch and moan about the recent reveal about Chromie in the Folk & Fairytales book. And I was just about ready to ignore each and every one of them. But I must admit I'm extremely disappointed that one of the twats is 'allegedly' someone that I've interacted with on several occasions. I refuse to go into self-preservation mode and outright shun the guy because he's categorically denying that the screenshot is real. It looks as if IcyVeins has gone ahead and fired him anyway. And (not to make excuses for the guy but) it's important to remember English is not his first language so the tone-deaf public tweets could be excused if he takes the time to learn from this. I just find it difficult to accept that a Social Media Manager would be dumb enough to be caught saying horrendous shit in a DM.
Butt! I think this just bloody tarnishes what could have been a positive moment. Those that truly are transphobic will just use this as further ammunition. "Cancel Culture, myuh!". And... at the risk of sounding like a bit of a narcissist... this only really reinforces my apprehension to become friendly with bloody anyone. lol. I hate that whole business side of YouTube where you've gotta be like "Muh Brand...!" but there are a bunch of people that are basically Nuke-Blocking anyone even slightly affiliated with this guy. Despite the fact that, if that screenshot is real and he did say that absolutely abhorrent shit... most of us had no idea he thought that way. But like I said... I refuse to go into self-preservation mode and throw the guy under the bus until there's a bit more information. The words in that screenshot are disgusting but all I see is circumstantial / anecdotal evidence to suggest he actually said it. Things like "look... he used ;) in a tweet and there's a ;) in the screenshot... so it must be him!"
Anywho - all that aside - let's lighten the mood with a shit joke. What do you call a fly with no wings? A walk.
Thanks, as always, for your support. Gonna write the script for Chapter Thirteen today and then I can make a more informed decision on whether it's gonna be finished by Tuesday. Technically it doesn't need to be finished til next Friday but in terms of Early Access... Tuesdays the deadline.
