Early Access - Rise of the Horde: Chapter One

Hello,
Feels like it's been a while. As promised - here's the next episode for you to watch 3 days early (if you want).
I dunno why but the 'opening credits' thing had me rolling. It's really stupid. The prologue of this book feels very Superman-esque to me... so I was gonna do a little bit of an homage to the old Richard Donner movie. But then I ended up just doing a really dumb throw-away gag instead.
But so far... i'm feeling good about this series. Only time will tell if I continue to feel that way; it's been a long time since I read this book and I remember enjoying it immensely. But we'll see how I feel after like... 10 weeks of it. lol.
In other news - I watched the Snyder Cut of Justice League last Thursday. And, although I absolutely agree it's better than the theatrical cut... I appear to be in a bit of a minority cos...

I started making notes as I was watching it cos I knew I was gonna end up talking to a mate about it afterwards. I didn't get very far with my note-taking though. Maybe only really covered the first hour or so before giving up. But I wrote:
- Superman died very loudly
- How long have those Amazonian women been staring at that box?
- Bruce got up a mountain and grew a beard real fast
- Why is she sniffing his jumper?
- Themysciran's must take bloody ages to get anything done - took all day to light a fire - "Would you like a coffee?" "Yes please" "Then I shall prepare the ancient ritual coffee drums. Go. Light the beacon. And bring the Coffee runes. Tonight... we shall partake in the coffee ceremony"
- Does Snyder think this is romantic? Iris is about to die horrifically and Barry is just stroking her face.
- Wtf is he gonna do with that sausage?
- This is awful
I watched the whole thing though. All 4 hours of it. You know - I think I would have liked to have just seen Snyder do an Injustice movie. If it had presented itself as an Elseworld story from the start, I could've got onboard.
Plus... they really just blew their load on every major story arc almost immediately, didn't they? In the space of 3 movies... Man of Steel, BvS and Justice League... they killed General Zod, Lex Luthor combined his own DNA with Kryptonian DNA to create a thing (so you can't do that again for the origin of Superboy or New 52 Bizarro), that thing ended up being Doomsday who subsequently killed Superman (in about 15 minutes), also Dark Knight Returns... and then Mother boxes, Steppenwolfe, DeSaad, Granny Goodness, Parademons, Darkseid, Anti-Life Equation. That's a lot of things.
I feel like there would've come a point fairly soon where Zack Snyder would have sat in his office and said... "oh shit... there's no stories left. The Justice League is going to have to fight Condiment King or Kite Man now."
Anywho - I digress. lol. And by digress... I mean I'm rambling a load of bollocks.
