Hey peeps,

I'm bloody proud of this one.  I can already tell it's going to be a lot of fun adapting this book.    Even the first Chapter is packed full of little lore tidbits and foreshadowing without it being too 'on the nose'.

I might even try and tag Christie Golden when I tweet the video on Tuesday.  I didn't really do that with the Dawn of the Aspects videos cos... well... I dunno whether Knaak would have appreciated some of the jokes to be honest.  But hopefully, Christie watches it and loves it.   Cos I'll probably spend less time in this series taking the piss out of the story!

I've written the script for Chapter Two so... I'm starting to think doing two full chapters a week won't be so bad.  Although some videos are definitely gonna be longer and require a lot more editing than others so I'll just play it by ear.

The Supercut on Friday is doing about as well as I thought it would.  Although the Average View Duration is actually higher than I expected.  You'd think it would be quite low due to a lot of people clicking on it... seeing it's 4.5 hours long and then leaving.

But... on average... it's currently at about 35 minutes.  So that's cool.  I'm under no illusion that people are gonna sit there and watch the whole thing in one go.  But to see that it's already got 101 hours of watch time since yesterday is pretty nice.  That'll probably earn me like... $1 or something. lol.

I'm gonna record the audio for Chapter Two now.  And then probably just play some videogames or something.  lol.

Seriously... if you haven't played it before... i would recommend Final Fantasy XIV.  It took me a while to figure out whether I liked the fact that the dungeons and raids are all part of the overall story so you *have to* do them in order to level and progress.  At first I was like... nah... but it's not bad once you get used to it.   Most of the time... you're just doing quests solo but... then you'll be told you have to do a dungeon so you just queue for that... do it... and then you can continue doing quests.

I haven't come across much toxicity either.  People seem a bit more patient with noobs.  And the queues are pretty short.  My only advice is... take your time with it and read the quest text / watch the cutscenes / etc.  Cos it would get real boring, real fast if you just ignored the story.  A lot of people tried to speed through it to reach the Shadowbringers stuff but... it's a long bloody grind to get there and then you just wouldn't have a bloody clue what was going on or who any of the characters are.

Anywho... Enjoy your weekend!  And Thank You, as always, for your support!

See ya!
