I had a dream once that I was in what I can only describe as a magical faerie land. I've always felt a connection with faerie folklore, but describing how I felt in this dream really doesn't do it justice. It was the ultimate peace, like I'd finally come home. It was the feeling like I'd found the place I knew I'd always belonged. I dream vividly often, and sometimes lucidly. I dream complete journeys from beginning to end. In color, with sensations, and even sometimes premonitions. But I have never had the intense sense of harmony like I did in this one. The environment wasn't extravagant or grandiose, in fact, the visuals weren't anything that special. And before I woke up, I remember having the bittersweet understanding that to accept this world I had to leave my old one behind. Maybe I woke up because I simply couldn't do that. But I often miss it there, and hope that one day I'll find it again.
