#4: WKRP IN CINCINNATI

Cincinnati — the other Queen City — is not a huge metropolis but as a child it looked so happening and bustling to me. So jealous of any city with a river. Nothing more urban than a tug.
#3: SPENSER FOR HIRE

Opening shot of train on bridge crossing the Charles river with Boston skyline is crucial. Bonus points for later rooftop shots and helicopters but nothing is better than a gun battle with a skyline backdrop.
#2: DALLAS

David and I both agree on this one. The multiple frames, the juxtaposition of farm fields to glassy skyscrapers make Dallas look like the most important city in the world.
#1: GOOD TIMES

This intro featuring the 1970s Chicago skyline is pure anadulterated urban grit. So simple. So smoggy.
BONUS: I almost made STREETS OF SAN FRANCISCO my #1 but kept it off my list as it wasn’t a show I personally watched. But PLEASE check it out. Holy hell.
