Fu, Fundoshi & Fireflies

For this month I really wanted to draw a ninja and thank you for all of the responses! There were several that I really liked, and may pull from those in the future but the one I liked best was the suggestion of Fu from Fullmetal Alchemist. I've drawn him only once before but that was years ago when tumblr was still a thing. So it felt like time to revisit the handsome old bodyguard and update my skills with drawing him. The colors of this piece, the dual light sources and the stern expression are all working for me with this one. I wanted to make an edit where he has his mask as well but unfortunately all of my illustrations tend to take longer these days as they have more detail, more attention to light and texture than they used to so I couldn't quite get it done.
