Ifrit (FF8)

Even though Final Fantasy 8 remains my least-enjoyed of the FF series (from the ones I actually played) I have to admit that the summons designs are among my favorites. Just take Ifrit here: This was the first time, to my recollection, that they leaned in to making him more bestial and monstrous. I really liked his wolf/lion/flame aesthetic they gave him. I also preferred this version over the much more wolfy one we got in FFX. This one just felt like it hit the sweet spot of not over designed and still really cool. It was a lot of fun to revisit him. I've actually attempted him before some years back but the fiery mane just didn't look right. Much happier with this attempt. :)
