Or, if you're like me, Happy Veggie Roast Day! I'm just tryna say that tomorrow in the U.S. it's Thanksgiving, or the National Day of Mourning if you prefer. If you celebrate or observe this holiday I hope that it's a good one surrounded by friends and/or family and good food! I'll be taking a little time off for the long weekend too but still get some pieces done to show my thanks for all of my patrons! (that's you!!)
Sometimes for this holiday there is a tradition of saying what we're most thankful for that year, so let me share mine now: I am thankful for my husband first and foremost. He is a wonderful partner and has never once let me down in 16 years of marriage. Thankful for my cats because they are loving and playful and demanding and cuddly and in every way the perfect complement to someone who works from home (and isn't allergic). I'm thankful for family and friends who have helped me get through recent difficulties and given me outlets for fun, conversation and other much-needed outlets. Unique to this year, I am very thankful for a friend of my husband's who has helped us find out about and secure a new home. It's still a rental, but it's a real house with a garage and a big yard and an extra bedroom I can dedicate to just being my office and I couldn't be more excited. (My current at-home office is cramped and also the guest room(ish) and some storage.) We put a deposit down and are moving in on February 1st this coming year! It is a huge step up from our current apartment and it really feels good to have this move to look forward to. Lastly, and maybe obviously but, I am very thankful for you folks. Thank you for supporting me and allowing me to continue improving at and making fun, sexy art that I can be proud of. You guys are the best and I really do appreciate each and every one of you.
One final note, and I think it's pretty exciting: Regarding the Kobold's Bodyguard, before the end of the year we will finally be done with the cave arc! Lots went on in there but we're concluding that chapter and moving out in January! Onward to new environments, new faces, new outfits?! (whaaaaaat??) and new revelations in Mauro and Gren's ever-evolving relationship. I'm looking forward to it and hope you are too!
