EDIT 2/3: AH, I forgot I was gonna include a little sneak preview here! I think THIS is the comic I'm gonna go with (it might take a sec to load the image):

It's movie night with the nurses! What could they be watching tonight? (Also, I know movie rental places don't really exist anymore, so let's just pretend she went to Redbox lol)

I wasn't actually sure if I remembered to turn on the Recording back when I started drawing this one, but lo and behold, I DID remember - looks like the fever didn't cook my brain too much, thankfully.

I feel like I'm finally back on track after taking that hiatus; started going back to the gym, shopping for groceries in-person (anxiety be damned, I want those coupons), and managing to drag my sleepy butt out of bed at a reasonable time in the mornings. Still messing around with sketches for some of these ideas(?) I thought up during the break, but I always hit a roadblock at the punchline.

Comic set-ups are easy! Coming up with an interesting plot point for the characters to follow is rarely ever too much trouble, but the difficult part is when it comes to making the ending - it's a big deal wrapping things up in a satisfying/funny way. There's this feeling of "I want to reader to feel like the comic was worth the time they spent reading it". Often times on reddit/twitter, I'll see a comic that is just PACKED with words, words, words and the payoff is kinda just a "Oh, heh. I get it, I guess". It's pretty lame to get through multiple panels of verbose dialogue and exposition, only to end up like:

But I get it! It's definitely the biggest hurdle when it comes to writing, and it's the main reason why I ended up with a folder of scrapped ideas. I think I'm starting to understand why so many TV series often have abrupt, unsatisfying endings lol but no worries! The neat thing about scrapped ideas is that they never truly go away - they're just shelved for awhile until I find the right inspiration to fix 'em up!

It's February, which means I'll probably whip up a little Valentines Day doodle at some point in the coming weeks :) For the moment, I'm still tossing around that "milkman" comic, but as you might expect from the previous paragraph, I'm still fiddling with the punchline. Otherwise, I could always take a dip in the Sketch Ideas pool and see what we get. There were a surprising amount of Sir Knight ideas submitted last month! I think one of my fantasy-themed comics must've gotten posted on iFunny or something, and brought in a bunch of new patrons wanting to see more of it. (If so, welcome!)

ALSO, literally just right now while I was typing this up, I got an email from Ownaj saying that my Veronica Plushie just shipped out! Woo! Gonna keep a close eye on my mailbox this week 💚

That's all for now, but I've already got some completed sketches to possibly use for this weeks comic, so you can look forward to more lewdness on the horizon!
