It’s a quick mini-game, based on the Twenty-One card game with a small card deck (36 cards).
The player easily wins even without knowing the strategy and without investing too much time in the mini-game. Winning each round makes your opponent lose clothes. Kira will have to win Mateo, Alonso, and Thomas at least once to start Riley’s route. Having good Riley’s affection will be mandatory, too, but there will be lots of new dialogue options added for all these characters to make it happen when the HCG will be ready for her. Adding new dialogue options for existing characters into existing VN rooms is significantly faster and easier than making new rooms or something like mini-games.
As you remember, we aim for two Agent releases this month: version 0.21 with minor fixes and Stage 2.3 (Kira will raid Exiles’ lair with Sigolla) + version 0.22 at the end of the month which will have Stage 2.4 with new robotic enemies. I already have the assets and rigs for them, but they were not integrated into the game because of time constraints. Making these two missions quicker is possible because we have a level design set for Stage 2 now, which was mostly shown in the previous Agent version. Stages 2.3 and 2.4 will conclude the second chapter of the game and we will be able to switch to making Stage 3 missions, which will be a major milestone for October and November.
Stage 3 will be the Paradise, underground cyberpunk neon dystopia, ran by corporation Z. There will be some additional polls about what sex content should be included there later when we finish these two remaining Stage 2 missions. This new chapter will be more about adventure, team cooperation between the main girls and making choices than participating in combat. I remind you that the game will have five stages, which means that completion of Stage 3 marks the middle of the game’s plot.
I aim to release 0.21 somewhere in the middle of the month, but we’ll see how it goes, it will be probably somewhere between 14 and 20 of September. The period from 9 to 16 of September is reserved for implementing the level design of Stage 2.3 and testing everything together.
This week will be dedicated to finishing some group animations for Stage 2 enemies and drawing/animating armored in-game version of Sigolla. Her naked version that you saw at the end of Stage 1 is a little bit simpler than the desired rig. Also, I asked our portrait artist, Ilano, to make a small fix for her body because her character is more sporty than she was at the previous pictures. Here is how she will look like in the new build:
