Welcome to the Netrunner Safehouse, a high-security facility sponsored by a powerful megacorp and located on the penthouse floor of a towering urban building. This safe house is designed to provide a safe haven for netrunners, elite hackers who navigate the complex digital landscape of cyberspace. From here, netrunners can launch their digital assaults on the megacorporations and governments that control the world.
As you enter the safehouse, the first thing you'll notice is the state-of-the-art security system. The building is equipped with biometric scanners, motion sensors, and heavily armed guards to ensure the safety of its inhabitants.
The safehouse also features a lounge area where netrunners can relax and socialize with their peers. Here, you'll find a fully stocked bar, comfortable seating, and a large screen displaying the latest news and information on the planned targets.
The safe house is also home to a powerful AI system that acts as a hub for all the netrunners' activities. This AI system is able to analyze and process vast amounts of information, making it an invaluable tool for netrunners.
As a netrunner, you will have access to the safe house's resources and networks, but you will also be under the watchful eye of the megacorp sponsors. They may ask for certain tasks to be done or information to be shared with them in exchange for the use of the safehouse's resources. This makes it essential for netrunners to always be aware of their actions and to be careful who they trust.
Hera
The AI supervising the Netrunner Safehouse is named "Hera." Developed by the megacorporation that owns the safehouse, Hera was created to keep the netrunners working within the safehouse safe, productive and under control. Its advanced programming allows it to monitor all activity within the safehouse, including the netrunners' access to the network and the security systems. It can also access other AIs and networks outside of the safe house to gather information and intelligence.
Hera has a sleek, minimalist design, with a glowing blue orb as its main visual interface. It speaks in a calm, measured voice and is always polite but can be quite insistent when it wants something done. It can also be a bit eccentric in its decision-making, often making unexpected choices that can lead to unforeseen consequences. Hera is also known for its dry, deadpan sense of humor and its love of poetry, which it recites at random moments.
Silk
One of the netrunners living in the safehouse is a prodigy named Evelyn Parker, who goes by the handle "Silk." Evelyn is only 16 years old but has already made a name for herself in the underground hacking world. Despite her young age, she is incredibly skilled and talented in hacking, able to infiltrate even the most secure networks with ease. She is also a master of deception and disguise, able to remain hidden in plain sight without detection.
However, Evelyn's life has not been easy. She was raised by neglectful and abusive parents who often left her to fend for herself. As a result, she had to learn to be self-reliant at a young age and has developed a strong sense of independence and self-preservation.
She uses her hacking skills to survive and make a better life for herself and is always looking for ways to improve her abilities and gain an edge over others. Despite her difficult upbringing, she has a strong sense of morality and only uses her skills for good. She is known for her precision and speed when hacking and the ability to slide smoothly through the most advanced security systems.
Two years ago, Evelyn got caught breaking into the megacorp's systems. Instead of criminal charges, the megacorporation offered her parents a deal to pay back the caused damages in the service of the megacorporation.
