Judy and Nick were in the middle of a very animated whispered conversation in the livingroom/bedroom.

"When you said keep an open mind, I thought you were going to say you were into pegging or something, not... whatever this is..."

"Well, What do you think he wears under that sleeper?"

"I know that but... why do you have a diaper? Do you wear them too?"

"No, no, it's not my thing, carrots. I just sometimes change the little guy on the couch and it's more convenient to..."

"Really, Nick. Are you sure you two aren't a thing?"

"Well, we're something, but... we haven't really defined the... would you stop waving that diaper around?"

Nick grabbed the diaper from Judy, tossed it over his shoulder and pulled out a condom from the drawer.

"We haven't really defined the relationship yet. And I believe this is what you were looking for."

"Alright, alright. It's fine. We'll talk about it later. You know us rabbits are notoriously open minded."

"Uh huh. Is that so?" asked Nick, unrolling the condom on his rapidly hardening cock.

"Yes, it is... is that... is that a carrot condom?"

"What? I thought you liked carrots..."

Nick didn't ask Judy to stay the night after their 'date night', and she didn't insist. It was more of a practical thing since she had work in the morning and, well, rabbits just didn't see sex the same way as some of the less promiscuous mammals. As soon as she was gone, Nick got an earful from Finnick.

"You're dating a prey? She'll never get us... Not completely..." said Finnick.

"Wow, that's a little bit prejudiced, dontcha think?" asked Nick.

"Come on, man. You know what I mean. Or did you forget about the whole 'biology' speech she gave the other month?"

"Well, her heart's in the right place..." said Nick, shrugging and looking away.

"But I thought we..." Finnick sighed and Nick saw the proverbial shades go down. Finnick's expression went stoic. "I'm happy for you, buddy. Really, I am. I'm gonna go to my room for a bit."

"Finnick, I'm sorry, I should have-"

"Ah, fuck off, man. I'm good. It's just for scams anyway, right? Never make business personal."

Before Nick could take the conversation any further, it was over, and Finnick was gone. Nick flopped down on his bed and lay on his back staring at the ceiling.

"Why do things always have to get so complicated..." he sighed, as the darkness slowly took him to sleep.
