Just a heads up

My programmer who's been with me all this time, working on Tailor Tales (he's also worked on Omori if anyone's familiar with the game!) and currently working on Moonstone Remix, has had a very unfortunate and bizarre incident where all the electronics in his house got fried and died. From his fridge, to microwave, to computers and other things. He lost his hard drives, they're all wiped and won't work.

It's a terrible thing to suddenly lose everything like that, especially since he's unable to access certain accounts because they require 2 factor authentication which he doesn't have access to anymore. Sadly, he has no insurance either so nothing is covered.

Moonstone Remix's progress was kept on a dropbox version, which is synced to my computer, so that progress is safe at least. However, due to the enormous setback he's suffered, he won't be able to work anymore for a while.

So I'm keeping Moonstone Remix on a hiatus for now, since it very much depends on him.

In the meantime, I'm simply still working on Tailor Tales like usual. I am also toying around with the idea of the very first iteration of Tailor Tales;

With my experience of the current Tailor Tales, and simply being more equipped to handle the workload, I could definitely make the first iteration of Tailor Tales a reality. This means it's more in line with Harvest Moon/Stardew Valley, where you can walk around and interact with the townsfolk, increase your relationship with them, explore the town and nature, farm stuff, and craft clothing of course.

I'm only toying around with this idea because of the setback with Moonstone Remix. If that project never ends up making it, I could re-use the assets I've created for it, for an old-school Tailor Tales project instead (the character art, I mean).

I'm curious to hear your thoughts about it! I know many were hyped for Moonstone Remix because it promised to be a very interactive chat simulation, but if that project ends up falling through, I hope people would be interested in going back to the Tailor Tales roots as well. FYI: Moonstone Remix is not canceled, just on hiatus! I'm simply thinking of back-up plans :)
