Commission - Sable

this DnD character commission is of an interesting character: an elf beastkin swashbuckler/battledancer who resembles a sable. The word "battledancer" immediately got me thinking of fun and dynamic dancing poses to put her in! The commissioner liked the first sketch I showed them, so from there it was pretty straightforward, with only a few small edits to the size of her snout and her fluff level. 

One screenshot showing a lot of images piled onto the canvas is what my screen looked like for almost all the time I was working-- all those images are reference material for various aspects of the picture that the commissioner gave me. I really like working with lots of reference images placed around my drawing-- it feels like piling a bunch of pillows around you on the couch. It's cozy!
