an anxious, birdlike alien named Maybe Xis, from work-in-progress sci-fi novel "All Things Aflame" (available to read for free here), commissioned by the author! This drawing went through a few rounds of revisions to get her looking just right, beginning with choosing the right pose for her. I love drawing creaturey-looking people and had a great time with this character!
