Commission - Brylu Casts Fireball!

Someone is playing one of my axolotl people in their DnD campaign, and they commissioned me to draw their character! Her name is Brylu. They'd previously commissioned artwork from a different artist, which I used as a reference. It looks like this:

here's my picture, broken down into steps!

it's amazing how just a color mask over the lineart and a quick overlay layer can brighten everything up! After this, all that was left was to throw in the background gradient. I went for a cool light purple, to go with the cooler fill light and compliment the orange fire.
