WIP - Aftran

I always fall for the side characters, and Animorphs has been no exception. Aftran 942 is a parasitic alien who defected from her empire in order to help the human protagonists, and, in exchange, was given the power to morph into another creature in order to live out the rest of her life peacefully on Earth, away from the war. 

The animal she picked in canon was a humpback whale, but I kind of felt like that was too neat and tidy of a fate for a character that I loved for her sharp edges and gray morality. Of course, I had to sketch out some ideas for what she might be like if she'd chosen a human form and stuck around to fight alongside her new friends, instead.
