Hi everyone!

Next week, we’re continuing with Part 3 of Tasty Temptation!
This part will mostly focus on Evelyn — a character that might not be entirely unfamiliar to sharp-eyed readers of Part 2, since she did make a brief appearance there (even if only for a moment ^^). Jealous that Elijah is dating Mia instead of her, Evelyn comes to the conclusion that Elijah must be into a very specific type of woman… and that there’s only one way to win him over...

Exactly how she ends up in the situation we see her in on the cover, and how the whole thing plays out — well, we’ll find that out together next week when Part 3 of Tasty Temptation drops!

Curves on Command – Part 1

Buuut until then, let’s take another look together at Part 1 of my latest comic series Curves on Command!

Overall, I’m really happy with how this comic turned out. Honestly, I can’t even think of anything I’d really want to complain about in hindsight (and that’s saying something — complaining is kinda my specialty, haha).
So I thought I’d just talk a little about some unique aspects of the comic and a few challenges I ran into while creating it:

One unique thing about this comic is that the background stays exactly the same throughout the entire comic (Did anyone catch that? ^^). Normally, I do this per page — so if there are multiple panels on one page, the background is consistent or at least similar — but from page to page I usually switch things up to keep the comic visually interesting.
This time, though, I deliberately chose to keep the background the same, because I wanted to simulate a fixed camera angle — as if Katja is being filmed by a webcam in her room, and we’re watching the footage. In that case, of course, the background wouldn’t change at all.

At first, I wasn’t really sure if that was a good idea, because — as I just mentioned — I was afraid it might make the comic feel a bit too monotonous or visually dull. But now, looking at the finished result, I think that fear was pretty unfounded. At least I don’t feel like the lack of changing backgrounds takes anything major away from the comic. But I’d love to hear what you think!
Compared to my usual process, it’s actually not that much more effort to use the same background on every page — I have to edit it anyway, and then I just drag in the same background over and over again instead of a different one. Honestly, it’s even less work, since I can just recycle the same background for every panel, haha ^^

One small challenge in this comic — or at least one thing I iterated endlessly on until I found a solution I was happy with — was the chat window on the streaming platform Katja is using. I designed a little user interface for the stream and the chat next to it — you can see the more or less original draft at the top of page 2.
My plan was to use this interface for all scenes in the comic that involved the streaming site. But once I started putting it into the comic, I realized that the chat in this layout was really hard to read — just way too small.
I tried a ton of different options to fix this. The most obvious one, of course, was to make the video window smaller to give the chat more room… but I wasn’t really happy with that either. Let’s be real, most of you are probably here to see the girls — not some (however nicely designed <3) chat window haha.

Luckily, I eventually had a lightbulb moment: I moved the chat into a floating panel of its own and zoomed in a bit so the text would be easier to read. (That probably made zero sense just now — it’s super hard to explain in writing.) But if you look at page 7 (and all the later pages that use this web interface), you’ll see exactly what I mean.
This way, I could keep Katja’s stream window the same size, while still making the chat more readable by letting it spill slightly into the background and page edges.
It does make me a little sad, though — because if I’d had that idea from the start, I wouldn’t have wasted so much time designing that whole website layout cry. But hey, putting my personal suffering aside, it’s definitely a solid solution.
Still, if any of you have an even better idea, I’m all ears — I’d love to hear suggestions for how to handle this in future parts.

One last thing that comes to mind — and this relates more to the writing — is the usernames in the chat. At first, I had the obvious idea (borrowed from many other creators) to use your Patreon usernames in the comic. So instead of the random names in the chat, I would’ve just picked a few of your names at random.
But in the end, I decided against it. Some of you might not be totally cool with being called out like that, and since the comics eventually end up being published on the wild, wild web, your name might forever be associated with my work — and not everyone might love that idea. Plus, there are folks here using their real names (or names that look real), and I’m pretty sure most of them wouldn’t be thrilled either, haha.
So yeah, it would’ve been a fun little gimmick, but I don’t think we missed out on much.
And I’d honestly feel weird putting words in your mouths without asking you first ^^

So, with that little detour out of the way... I think we're done.
Next week we’re back with Tasty Temptation Part 3, which — you guessed it — will once again be a belly expansion comic.

Until then, take care!
