The next comic is called Floaty Frolics and will be another single-part comic where I’ll be playing around a bit with a new concept (as hinted at in the cover ^^).

Also, as you've probably already noticed, I experimented with the cover page and tried something entirely new this time.

I have to say, I'm a bit torn about the new cover. On the one hand, I think it's much more interesting than my usual covers; I’d even go as far as to say it’s just plain better.
But on the other hand, there's a bit of brand recognition that gets lost, if you know what I mean. When you saw my previous covers, you immediately knew, “Ah, that’s a Boobacious comic.” Now, it’s not quite as clear. Especially if each comic gets a distinctly different cover depending on the setting. But then again, that could be a plus: each comic’s "personality" shines through on the cover, making each one feel a bit more distinct.

Aaargh, I don’t know! Right now, I’m leaning toward sticking with the new covers because I really enjoyed making them, but feel free to leave your thoughts in the comments. I appreciate every bit of input!

Oh, and I still owe you a release date. The comic should be ready by the weekend. ^^

Contagious Augmentation - Part 3

Alright, now let’s talk about the latest installment of Contagious Augmentation!

I think I realized while making this comic how Valve must be doing with Half Life 3 haha. I had a massive writer’s block for a long time, and once I finally started, my standards for the comic just kept going up and up. I went through countless iterations before finally settling on this version.

But hey, at least I managed to release Part 3 of Contagious Augmentation before Half-Life 3 dropped (Alyx doesn’t count - I still haven't been able to play it because I don't have a VR headset cry).

Anyway, enough about that. I have to say that I'm really, really happy with this comic. I don’t think it’s an exaggeration to call it the best comic I’ve made so far (and the comic I've spent the most time on by far).

Some highlights in my opinion are:

- Like in Busting Boundaries Part 3 (the label on the “Boobacious Augmentation Pills” package on page 3), I experimented again with text within images (Page 6). This is insanely tricky because Stable Diffusion has basically no understanding of letters or words, so one needs to use a few tricks to get it to look halfway decent. I'll probably go into more detail about this in future announcements ^^

- I'm also very proud of page 12. I think it’s a good application of the new technique I've been showing you over the last few weeks. The only thing that bothers me here is that it feels like it stands out a bit too much, though; it’s a great page, but it somehow looks distinct from the rest of the comic. I'll definitely try to improve on that going forward

- Page 13 symbolizes a new paradigm for me in terms of how I want to tell my stories. Until now, I’d often skip over character activities or describe them in text boxes because they were too hard to depict. But now, I feel skilled enough to illustrate more complex scenes, like brushing teeth in front of a mirror or undressing (Page 13). It may sound trivial, but I think it brings more life to the characters. Instead of them saying, “I’ll get changed and go to sleep,” and then they’ve suddenly changed on the next page, you actually see the scene play out. To me, it makes the comic more cohesive and gives a sense of a more continuous story (and it's usually pretty sexy too in my opinion haha).

Alright, that’s it. I’ve put a ton of time into this comic, and I think it shows. My goal is definitely to maintain or even surpass this level of quality for future comics. I just hope I’ll have the time to do so. ^^

Okay, seriously signing off now. I’ll see you this weekend when Floaty Frolics comes out.
Until then, take care!
