I made Erma so I could write a character even more mean than Evrina.  At the very least more openly hostile to the observer.  Of course, as is my nature, I began adding more things and diluting the concept with plot.  In any case she fills a spot I wanted filled.  I briefly played with the idea of her being black but I decided I didn't want the hassle from twitter that would inevitably cause.  Since you guys aren't twitter damaged I included one of the color tests I tried.  

I haven't settled on a name for her counterpart.  

As far as her lore is concerned, if you'll allow me the cringe of porn lore, she has magical powers that run on how much mass she has at any given time.  The bigger she is the more destructive she can be at once.  Any use of her power reduces her size until she's too small to use magic without recharging.
