Howdy smut lovers! Hope you're doing alright!
This post is a little more personal and a tad more political than you may be used to from this account, but stay with me.
TLDR: I wanted to announce and explain a few changes that I will be making in my content moving forward.
Future changes include:
-Changing style to make characters appear older (Mainly bodytypes and eye shapes, etc).
-Introducing clear(er) consent within scenes and reducing non-consent.
-No longer drawing or tolerating raceplay or race fetish content (BBC, Queen of Spades, etc).
-No longer drawing or tolerating zoophilic content.
-No longer drawing or tolerating incestuous content.
-No longer tolerating lolicon, shotacon, and other depictions of CSA.
-Privating or deleting previous content that clearly violates the above.
-Establishing rules against this type of content in my discord.
As a result of these changes, I will be redesigning some of the Bait n' Hook's core characters and retconning the lore. The BnH is a shady dive no longer! Moving forward, the locale will be a magical space that makes kinky dreams come true for subs and doms alike, even the weirder ones!
Just to give examples of how retcons might work, I intend to use magic/portals as a new way of contextualizing art for amputee kinks, and will change the relationship between Jesse and his parent characters in the future.
Many of you may be wondering why I am choosing to make these changes and to speak about them publically.
In short, I decided to make this change after learning about a situation known as "Goon Gate" online. The quick summary of this is that a number of individuals within the hentai/kink community (particularly the goon community) were outed as p*dophiles who not only have groomed children, but actively fetishize or get off on the idea of getting minors addicted to porn. This topic is very sensitive since the individuals involved, including ringleader "Giggly Goonclown" and adult entertainer Jean Hollywood, are transgender. Due to the ongoing stigmas faced by the queer (especially american queer) community, these revelations have fed into fascist rhetoric about queer people being groomers. The fact that predators like Giggly are known to have used this ongoing trans panic as a shield against criticism is extremely disgusting and honestly despicable. Moreover, that there are kinksters so internet poisoned that they think it's acceptable to fantasize about children and then act on those fantasies is, quite frankly, alarming -and it raises questions about what responsibilities artists have when facilitating those fantasies.
This brings me to my own art. I've come to realize that one of the dangers of consuming drawn kink content online is that if unchecked, it can foster gradually more extreme fetishes, build increasingly isolated communities that lose touch with how their actions can hurt themselves or others, and normalize said actions over time. For a long time I was under the impression that I was immune to this funnel. After all, I've stated clearly in the past that presented characters are of age, and I've gone out of my way to denounce SA and other forms of abuse.
However, in reflection I've witnessed this negative feedbackloop in my own life, as I became numb to previously unthinkable tags like drawn CSA and animal abuse over the years. This is something that has occured even within my own community spaces, and honestly, I should have seen and acknowledged signs of this sooner. I have had admitted zoophiles DM me via Discord, art requests from individuals sending me REAL pictures of their family as references, and generally unsavoury accounts follow me that use slurs in their tagline and/or admit to being p*dophiles in their bios.
To be clear, this is not a prudish screed against anything remotely sexual drawn online. I'm very open about my love of alt hentai and my encouragement to other adult content creators who indulge in the weird and wacky. However, eventually we all have to ask ourselves if the things we put out into the world will have the potential to build or to tear down. I don't know how much of a direct impact drawn art can have in influencing realworld harm, but I have no intention of finding out or being party to someone who does.
If you find yourself developing fetishes or fantasies that may influence future behaviors to hurt non-consenting parties (lolicon, shotacon, beastiality, etc), I would encourage you to seek professional help and find a community outside of whatever fetish hole you've found yourself in that can build you up with compassion and help you explore more constructive kinks. In the meantime, the meat of my content -nose hooks, humiliation, latex, petplay, and gender play- isn't going anywhere! More content coming soon, thanks for hearing me out! -Basicweeaboo
