Sometimes I write stuff which is nearly impossible to draw. I sit down, pull out my pencil, just look at the text and go ….daaaaaaammmn.

That's what happened with the first panel of this new comic: I wanted to draw two Boltzmann brains materializing out of the virtual froth of the early universe.

Simple, right?

Not so much!  In the end it took five or six complete panel redraws and SO MUCH SWEARING. Got there in the end, but boy, I’d like to see an AI suffer that much for its art.

Anyway, hopefully the basis for this story was pretty obvs. It always struck me how much better behaved Satan was compared to god, once you strip away all the name calling. I know this comic may be offensive to some, but it genuinely isn’t meant that way. Like other similar stories I’ve written, this is simply the mythos I’ve grown up with and I like to explore those ideas from time to time.

My long form story is going well. I’m absorbed in script writing at the moment, and still problem solving aspects of the story. I actually chatted to a scientist from the Jet Propulsion Laboratory the other day to make sure I was getting my science right on Io, Jupiter’s moon.

As the people who launched Voyager and so may other incredible probes, JPL is probably one of my favourite organisations on Earth.

And I’m sorry to say I was a complete fanboy 🤣😭
