Little bit of a detour this week!

I'm sure you've spotted the occasional nod towards mythology in my stories once or twice: I was raised on a lot of Greek myths, and they must have made an impression on me, because I decided to have a crack at retelling one.

Ancient Greece is often considered a kind of origin story for Western culture, a kind of mythology in itself, so it's always interesting to me to re-examine this stuff through modern eyes. But this story is actually based on a small bronze statue I have at home, so no way terribly original. But whenever I looked at her, I wanted to tell her story. So here it is!

In a side note - one of the panels from this comic is inspired by Clash of the Titans (the original thank you very much). Anyone guess which one?

Anyhoo, next week we'll be back to our original programming, when I take NASA's new Orion spaceship out for a spin.
