Multiverse brain fog

So my next comic touches briefly on the multiverse, as well as continuing the slightly mythic theme of my last comic, Empires of Light. 

Turns out drawing the multiverse isn't as simple as I expected. My first attempt (in BW above) is pretty traditional really. In fact I started to think it looked a bit like a multiverse cross-over from a Nineties Marvel comic. 

Now I'm experimenting with giving the different universes a more bubble-like feel (in pink) which, as well as looking more organic and interesting, tickles me, because of the fleeting nature of bubbles. 

Do these universes pop out of existence in the same ephemeral way? Hell yeah.
