The chances of anything coming from Mars...

Boy that was the most fun I’ve had drawing one of these comics in a while! I re-read the book to make sure I didn’t miss anything- and even street-viewed the original locations.

I still remember the thrill of hearing the album when I was a kid, and coming back to it again, and to the book, to create this tribute comic, was so satisfying.

My plan was to tell a story that didn’t take anything away from the book, but added something new to it (and not, god forbid, do a Prometheus, and undermine so much of what was cool about the original). I don’t know if I succeeded but it was hella fun trying. I've included my longer original script in the slideshow, for those of you interested.
