Running Blizzard

A finished gift for Gveanel.

After I visited Baykal and Siberia, I got to know the nature of a place where my friend lives. That helped me to learn a bit more about them, and I was greatly inspired to make this piece.

This is an experimental illustration that combines both scenery and comics elements which I’d like to try out more in upcoming months. I feel that this media helps me to tell a story told through the eyes of a character and their surroundings.

The background is based on a photo I took in Arshan when a sudden snowstorm came down from the mountains in matter of minutes. Speaking of the illustration, my idea was that the storm is not coming, but is ended with the sun’s coming
