All that work, to get back to the reason why it was down in the first place. The cartridge stop and spring were missing from the bottom metal. With out this part, naturally a bad tie up ensued.
1. The ONLY photo/drawing of the part I could find, from an 80's Uberti reproduction spare parts drawing.
2. At least we had that. This is my prototype part to get the function correct. The part is pushed down against spring force by the finger lever going full into the action locked position. This allows another round to come onto the carrier. The part then pops up as the finger lever is opened, and cuts off the next round.
3. The ejector is annular around the firing pin. The V spring pushes forward and causes the round to be forced up and out, as it is checked by the extractor. Same as a 73/92/etc.
Winchester except it's unitized, and hence far less of a pain in the ass to put the gun back together.
4. Nothing special was done to the stock. 0000 steel wool polishing, followed by oil applied with more steel wool. The crack in the forend was a simple "acraglass smeared into the crack" deal
Once the rain stops, this will be function fired again and the video ending amended if there is time. You will see it first, and as always....
Thanks for the support.....mark
EDIT....If anyone owns one of these let me know. 4 screws gets us in far enough for a picture of the real deal.....
