This 1917 Eddystone is a sister rifle of the Anvil 089 Krag, and came out of the same collection fire. The barrel was bent and stripped out, and the receiver had a 1 inch crack that caused the whole mess to be DQed. Artistry in Motion, a movie prop company, requested that the weapon be brought back to display quality, with the added bonus that an operational artifact did not have to be destroyed in the process.
While an episode was not filmed of the process, the shop time necessary to do this work was funded in part by our patrons. All of you have a piece of a weapon on permanent display in a national museum. I am humbled by the opportunity, and grateful for all for your support.
