Another way to do the duffle cut

Use an 1/8th inch close nipple, and drill out the wood to accept. This piece is in the circled part of the drawing. Posted in an attempt to answer a question from the Arisaka post, about what to do if there isn't enough room to fit a reinforcement rod.
