Hello Patrons!

Welcome to February’s update! Lots of big and small goodies coming your way this month.

This month we have some fresh visual updates on practically all fronts, from game colors, all the way to 3D models. Apologies for the late post, but we really wanted to squeeze the new mob and final weather setup in!

This month’s winner for the Patron picture is:

Rasmus!

We’ll send you a message soon on Discord! We want to know what you’d like to have drawn. If you have no ideas, that is also fine, we got time and there’s no rush.

Reminder: Patrons can skip their turn or push it off for a different month if they like as well - we can push you down the ladder whenever you’d like and someone else can take your place for that month.

Now, let's get started.

Wimbourne City:

To start with, our beautiful city, Wimbourne, is slowly growing with more and more objects.

Take a look.

The city will be the main hub on Floor One and we’ll make it quite grand. It’ll also have its own questlines, lively NPCs, and tons of activities for players to tackle.

We’re also testing new terrain software to make our landscapes look a bit better.

Here’s a sample terrain:

Hairstyles:

We finished setting up our first batch of female hairstyles! Below samples. Please ignore the clipping underwear - haven’t swapped it for new ones yet that fit this model. The hair nicely wiggles and jiggles during motion, jumps, etc. Generally, it’s very nice and lifelike. If you have any suggestions/see any issues with the visuals, please let us know and we’ll work on them. Everything can be easily tweaked on the fly.

New mob: Slime

Yes, we have a slime now! Just 1 variation for the time being, with nice glowy eyes and cool animations. Take a look at it in motion.

Visuals, Environment & Weather:

Colors in the game have been modified to pop more and we’re nearly done with the sky. It’s been a bit more difficult than initially expected, but we now have it fully anime-fied and it’s pretty breathtaking. We’ll be posting a video showcase on it soonish.

We’re also starting to rework the dungeons, but it’ll be a while before we can showcase those. The base shapes and layouts are done, we need to properly decorate the zones first though!

Equipment and Clothing:

We finished up the starter clothing set and moved on to custom player animations to slowly start replacing our placeholders. Here are the initial concepts from last month:

Meanwhile here are the finished clothes in-game:

Endword:

As usual, we hoped you enjoyed our work for the past month.

Most of our focus was on the art side. We also hired a new artist and will have a programmer join us in the days to come to help accelerate gameplay production.

Other than all the above, we also had big progress on the music field - but we’re waiting to drop an album on you if all goes well :)

We hope everyone is doing fine during these stressful times and stays safe.

Till next time!
