ID 79 "Tension Lines"

In Tension Lines, I explore the body’s natural contours and the way fabric shapes and responds to skin. The series captures close, intimate photographs of myself in a brown bodysuit, each shot focusing on the interaction between fabric and form. In certain frames, I pull the bottom of the bodysuit between my glutes, creating lines and tension that emphasize the body's curves. Subtle details, like my nipples visible through the fabric, add texture and dimension, grounding the images in the reality of the body beneath.

Accompanying the photographs is a video that captures the movement and energy in these moments. As I pull the bodysuit against my skin, the tension reshapes the fabric and reveals new lines, offering a study of how touch and pressure define what we see. This piece isn’t just about shape—it’s about how small, deliberate gestures can create a living, tactile connection between body and material.
